During a meeting with his Armenian counterpart, the President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society expressed readiness to transfer its experiences and products to Armenia. The Armenian representative described the Iranian Red Crescent's production capacity as unparalleled.
According to the
Public Relations Unit of the Medical Procurement Organization, quoting the Red
Crescent's Information Portal, Dr. Kolivand, in his meeting with the President
of the Armenian Red Cross, stated, "I thank you for your participation in
the International Health Congress during Arbaeen. This congress was held with
the aim of managing large gatherings." He added, "The congress is
significant because around 20 million people participate in the Arbaeen
pilgrimage, making it a major global event. Nearly 5 million people travel from
Iran to participate in this event, and we provide services to the pilgrims both
within Iran and in Iraq. These services are carried out with the participation
of volunteers, who work alongside us, creating synergy and collaboration that
ensures the event is held safely with minimal harm."
In another part of
the meeting, Dr. Kolivand stated, "The Iranian Red Crescent's capabilities
in the production of medicine, relief items, medical equipment, and
rehabilitation services are remarkable. We are prepared to share our
experiences in these areas with Armenia."
David Nersisyan,
President of the Armenian Red Cross, said during the meeting, "The Iranian
Red Crescent has very strong capacities. I visited the Iranian Red Crescent's
facilities in the fields of pharmaceutical production, medical equipment, and textiles.
The Iranian Red Crescent's products are of high quality, and the Armenian Red
Cross is prepared to utilize Iranian products. The goals of our national
societies are aligned, and we are eager to engage in cooperation and
interaction with the Iranian Red Crescent in various fields."
